Bayleaf care home resident celebrates her birthday in style
Celebrations were in full swing at Bayleaf Care Home as one of its beloved residents, Mary Drake, marked her 87th birthday surrounded by family, friends, and fellow residents.
To commemorate this remarkable milestone, staff at Bayleaf Care Home organized a special birthday lunch filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments as Mary, who is the resident ambassador at Bayleaf Care Home, reminisced about her life and shared stories with the staff and her fellow residents.
The festivities continued as guests and residents joined together in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Mary, followed by the cutting of a beautifully prepared birthday cake, lovingly crafted by the home’s chef. It was a day to remember — filled with music, family, and celebration — honouring a truly special woman and her 87 wonderful years.
Mary said ‘I cannot believe how much attention I have received today. This is a day that I will never forget and I am so grateful to so many people’.
