Peterborough-based car insurance broker creates 16 jobs

Sixteen jobs are being created at a Peterborough firm.

Online car insurance broker Coverbox, which has its head office in Thorpe Park, is recruiting the extra staff as part of its 2016 growth and development plan.

Andrew Bennett, chief executive of the firm which employs 48 people, said: “We have invested a great deal of time and effort in developing and deploying technology which will cut the price of insurance to drivers, and bring down the cost of providing insurance and managing claims in the industry,

“In parallel, we have worked hard to grow the business, with significant expansion of the number of policies sold - and we are establishing a presence in a sector of the car insurance market which is forecast to grow strongly.

“The new roles reflect that growth, and are directly relevant to both that expansion and the maintenance of our high customer service standards.”

The new recruits are needed in operations, claims, accounts and marketing.

Coverbox is currently recruiting for an operations manager and has created seven new client executive roles, five telematics claims handler positions, two debt recovery jobs, and also requires a digital marketing executive.
