Greencore colleagues at Sutton Bridge celebrate bingo jackpot success in fundraiser for Westmere Primary School

Nearly 80 colleagues from Greencore Meals Sutton Bridge – joined by team members from Greencore Spalding, Boston, Wisbech and IT, as well as members of the local community – gathered on Saturday night for a lively charity bingo event to kick‑start the site’s 2025 fundraising for its newly nominated Charity of the Year, Friends of Westmere, which fundraises for Westmere Primary School.
Hosted at The Anchor Inn, a local Sutton Bridge pub, the evening began with a highly competitive bingo session, where the usually buzzing venue fell silent as players waited anxiously for a full house. But the quiet didn’t last long, as live band, Triple Seven, soon took to the stage and got the party underway.
Thanks to enthusiastic participation across bingo, raffles and donations, the event raised an impressive £1,050 – giving the charity partnership a fantastic start.
Justin Waldock, Head of Operations at Greencore Meals Sutton Bridge, said:

“The evening was a great success in bringing people together to raise funds for our local chosen charity, Friends of Westmere. Thank you to everyone who made this happen, and raising £1,050 at our very first event of the year is something everyone involved should feel proud of.”
