Opening date announced for Peterborough's new M&S store

The newly refurbished M&S will unveil its new store on February 26 at 10am following a multi-million pound investment.

The completion of the works will mean the closure of the M&S store in Bridge Street, Peterborough, with all staff being transferred to the new branch.

The 50,000 sq ft Queensgate store will include a new third floor and house all departments including menswear, womenswear and lingerie, which were previously located in Bridge Street.

The Bridge Street store will close on February 25.

The refurbished store will be opened by M&S store manager, Emma Burrell and more than 100 members of staff.

Customers will then be welcomed into the store to enjoy a complimentary glass of M&S Prosecco.

Visitors on the day will also be in with a chance of winning a share of £500 M&S Gift Cards with Connect FM presenter Daniel Fox between 11.30am and 1pm.

Daniel will be hosting live DJ sessions throughout the morning and will be talking about the great offers available in-store.

The newly refurbished store will include a refreshed 10,000 sq ft womenswear department which will offer M&S’s Spring/Summer lines in the popular Limited, Per Una, Classic and Indigo collections.

It will also have a new 5,000 sq ft menswear department, which will offer an extensive collection of both casual and formalwear.

Other refreshed departments M&S customers will be able to enjoy include lingerie, kidswear and homeware departments.

There will be an expanded beauty department which will feature the newly launched Rosie for Autograph make-up and popular brands Nails Inc, NUXE and REN.

Shoppers will be able to relax in the 90-seat M&S Café.

“We hope to welcome as many customers as possible to our new store at our grand opening.”

Adding to the increased offer, shoppers will also be able to take advantage of the popular ‘Shop Your Way’ service which gives customers the option to have their M&S.com orders delivered to the store for free.

M&S Peterborough Queensgate will be open 8am – 6pm Monday – Wednesday, 8am – 8pm Thursday – Friday, 8am – 6.30pm on Saturdays and 10am– 4.30pm on Sundays (10am – 10.30 browsing only).
