A bookies in Peterborough was raided at knife point by two masked men

Now police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the raid.

Two men wearing balaclavas entered a betting shop on Four Chimneys Crescent in Hampton Vale, Peterborough at about 9.40pm last night (June 19).

One of the men, who was wearing dark clothing and brandishing a knife, threatened a customer and member of staff and ordered them to lie on the floor.

The other man, wearing white and black, then went behind the counter to steal money from the tills.

The pair made off in a silver Mercedes two seater sports car along Westlake Avenue and onto Nature’s Way.

Detective Sergeant Gaye Mallows said: “Thankfully no one was injured during the incident but both victims have been left badly shaken.

“Information is sought from anyone who recognises the men in the CCTV images or anyone who saw the vehicle prior to or after the incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to call DS Mallows at Thorpe Wood Police Station on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
