Werrington Slimming World members’ journey to shine in national magazine

Werrington Monday Evening Slimming World members are celebrating after their inspiring weight-loss journey was selected to feature in a national magazine.
Members of the Werrington Monday evening group, which meets at Brookside Methodist Church, PE4 7TG, are thrilled to see two of their members recognised following their success in the Slimming World “Two Together” competition.
Although the ladies made it through to the finals of the competition, their story didn’t end there. Their inspiring weight-loss journey was so special that Slimming World decided to share it with an even wider audience by featuring the ladies in the national magazine.
The pair were treated to a very special professional photo shoot, accompanied by a full team of people who helped make the experience one they will remember for years to come. The day created plenty of happy memories, with the ladies enjoying being thoroughly spoiled and celebrating just how far they have come.
The magazine will be available from Monday 24th August, with copies available through Slimming World groups and at a discounted price for members.
Their consultant, Debra, said: “We are all very excited to see the girls in the magazine, look at the photographs and read their story. It’s so lovely that they can make a difference not only to our local community but also to a much broader community by inspiring others to believe they can make a change too.
“I’m incredibly proud of them and everything they have achieved.”
Their story is a wonderful example of how a weight-loss journey can be about so much more than numbers on the scales. Through their determination, commitment and willingness to share their experiences, the ladies are now helping to inspire others across the country to take their own first steps towards a healthier, happier life.
