Peterborough care provider celebrates national award success less than one year after launch
A Peterborough-based care provider is celebrating national recognition after winning a major industry award less than 12 months after launching.
Fortava Healthcare, which has its head office in Peterborough and operates The Maltings Care Home and Thorpe Wood Care Home in the city, won the “Best Innovation in Care” award at the prestigious 2026 Care Home Awards.
The organisation also received Highly Commended recognition in both the Specialist Care and Nutrition, Food & Dining categories.
The awards are a significant achievement for the rapidly growing provider, which was founded in 2025 and began its journey in Peterborough before expanding into Nottinghamshire earlier this year.
Fortava Healthcare specialises in dementia, nursing and complex care and has become known for its activities-led approach and the innovative use of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) to support residents living with dementia.
