Hoggy’s Grill will be at Burghley from Saturday 29th to Monday 31st August, serving his legendary burgers and loaded fries in the grounds of the historic house.

The Summer Fine Food Market is a celebration of food and drink, bringing together specialist suppliers and street food traders from across the region and further afield.

Held in Burghley’s Chestnut & Stable Courtyards, the free-to-enter event will run from 10am until 4pm across all three days of the Bank Holiday weekend.

For Hoggard, who played a key role in England’s famous 2005 Ashes victory, the appearance comes at the end of a busy summer for Hoggy’s Grill.

The brand has been out and about at a number of events over recent months, taking its BBQ menu beyond its usual base at Rutland Nursery and in front of new audiences.

Burghley’s Fine Food Market will be one of many appearances of the summer and gives Hoggy’s Grill the chance to be part of a well-established event that draws food lovers from across the region.

Matthew Hoggard said: “The Burghley Fine Food Market is a brilliant event and we’re really looking forward to being part of it this Bank Holiday weekend.

“It’s been a really busy summer for Hoggy’s Grill, we’ve really been getting out and about, showcasing what we do best, BBQ food!  It feels like a great way to round off August.

“Burghley is such a fantastic setting and there’s always a great atmosphere when you get lots of good food and people together.

“I’ll be behind the grill serving up some of our favourites, and hopefully we’ll see plenty of familiar faces over the weekend.”

The market will feature a broad mix of food and drink businesses, giving visitors the chance to sample produce from independent producers and enjoy the historic surroundings of Burghley House.

Hoggy’s Grill will be serving throughout the weekend, with its appearance forming part of a particularly busy period for the brand.

Just days later, Hoggy’s Grill will also be catering for the Burghley Horse Trials after-party on Saturday 5th September in partnership with The William Cecil.

The Stamford hotel is the sister venue to The Bull & Swan, where Hoggy’s Grill has also cooked at several events during the summer.

The after-party will bring another major opportunity for the brand during one of the busiest weeks in Stamford’s calendar, with the Burghley Horse Trials attracting visitors from across the UK and overseas each year.

For Hoggard, the focus remains firmly on the food and creating the kind of relaxed BBQ experience that has become central to the Hoggy’s Grill offering.

He added: “We’ve really enjoyed getting out to different events this summer and cooking for people in different settings.

“The Fine Food Market is one we’ve been looking forward to, and then we go straight into another big Burghley week with the Horse Trials after-party.

“It’s a great time of year for the area, with so much going on, and we’re pleased to be right in the middle of it.”
