The celebrations began with a live performance by musical duo Boots and Strings and the dining room was the newest dance floor as residents enjoyed a repertoire of classic hits, sparking "toe-tapping moments" and plenty of dancing by the residents.

In keeping with the patriotic theme, the home’s culinary team, led by chefs Craig and Cassie, prepared a traditional English menu. Treating residents to a traditional lunch of pie, mash, and a beer a firm favourite that was met with high praise from the residents.
