Peterborough Fireworks 2026: Bringing the Community Together for a Spectacular Night on the Embankment.

Local talent, local businesses and community partnerships take centre stage as Peterborough prepares for a spectacular celebration of music, fireworks and community spirit.
Peterborough Fireworks 2026 is set to be much more than just a fireworks display. Taking place on Saturday 7 November at The Embankment, this exciting family event aims to bring the city together, celebrate local talent, support local businesses and create an unforgettable evening for the whole community.

Organised by Komodo Events, the event has been developed with a strong emphasis on keeping things local, working closely with Peterborough City Council and community organisations to create something the city can be proud of.
Putting Peterborough People First
At the heart of Peterborough Fireworks 2026 is a commitment to supporting the people and organisations that make the city special.
Students from Peterborough Regional College (PRC) will have the opportunity to develop their creative skills and build their media portfolios by capturing photographs and videos throughout the evening.

The initiative will provide students with valuable experience of working at a large-scale public event, giving them the chance to showcase their creativity in a positive, supportive and professionally managed environment.
To make the experience even more exciting, Komodo Events will be offering a prize for the best photograph captured during the event, encouraging students to put their talents to the test.
Homegrown Talent Takes Over the Stage
Entertainment on the night will have a distinctly Peterborough flavour, with Peterborough Performing Arts taking over the stage.

The talented local performers will provide an exciting programme of entertainment, showcasing some of the fantastic homegrown talent the city has to offer.
From music and performances to the excitement building ahead of the fireworks, the stage will be a celebration of Peterborough's creative community.
Award-Winning Fireworks, Made in Peterborough
Of course, the stars of the evening will be the fireworks themselves.
Peterborough-based Komodo Fireworks, two-time British Musical Fireworks Champions, will be bringing their award-winning expertise home to deliver not one, but two spectacular musical fireworks displays.
The evening will feature a specially designed Children's Low Noise Musical Fireworks Display, choreographed to family favourites with a more considerate selection of effects for younger audiences.
Later, the team will truly Paint the Sky with a breathtaking main musical fireworks spectacular, featuring approximately 18 minutes of colour, music and precision choreography.
Every firework is carefully selected and timed to the soundtrack, creating an immersive experience where music and fireworks combine to tell a story across the night sky.
It's an opportunity for Peterborough families to experience a professionally produced, championship-standard display right on their doorstep.
Supporting Local Businesses
The commitment to keeping Peterborough Fireworks local extends beyond the entertainment.
Food vendors attending the event will be drawn from the local area, providing an opportunity for independent businesses to showcase their products to thousands of visitors.
From delicious hot food to sweet treats and warming drinks, visitors will be able to enjoy a fantastic selection of refreshments while supporting local traders.
With a funfair, entertainment and two fireworks displays, the organisers hope to create an affordable family evening that offers something for everyone.
A Safe, Professional and Welcoming Event
Working closely with Peterborough City Council and relevant partners, Komodo Events is committed to delivering a professionally managed event where safety, accessibility and the enjoyment of visitors remain key priorities.
From the planning of the displays to crowd management and the wider event experience, the organisers want families to feel confident that they are attending a well-organised community celebration.
A New Fireworks Tradition for Peterborough?
For Komodo Events, the ambition is simple: to create an annual fireworks celebration that Peterborough can truly call its own.
A spokesperson for Komodo Events said: "We want Peterborough Fireworks to be about so much more than what happens in the sky.
"We have some incredible people, businesses and organisations here in Peterborough, and we want to give them the opportunity to be part of something really special.
"From local performing arts groups taking over our stage to college students building their media portfolios and local food vendors serving our guests, we're trying to make sure this event gives something back to the city.
"And, of course, as a Peterborough-based fireworks company, there is something particularly special about bringing our award-winning displays home and painting the sky over the Embankment.
"Our hope is that this becomes the place to watch professional fireworks in Peterborough — an event that families look forward to every November, where the community comes together and everyone feels part of something special."
