Half a tonne in a month! Hampton Slimming World members lose over 94 stone

In just 31 days, members of Hampton’s award-winning Slimming World groups lost an incredible 94 stone 3½ lb between them. That’s almost 600 kilograms in October alone. Now the groups, which meet at CSK Church in Hampton, have another reason to celebrate. They’ve been named among Slimming World’s top 25.

“What our members love is that there’s room for the food their family already loves,” said their consultant, Scott Smith. “Whether it’s a big bowl of pasta, a curry on a Friday night or a Sunday roast with all the family, you can make it work. Everyone can sit down to the same dinner. That flexibility is why it suits so many different people.”

Scott joined Slimming World at 23 and went on to lose ten stone himself. A consultant since 2010, he’s been nominated four times for Slimming World’s National Group of the Year award, winning with his Hampton members in 2019 and again in 2023.

“I’m chuffed to bits for our members,” said Scott. “Half a tonne sounds enormous, but I think of the person who’s just lost their first half a stone and the cheer they get in group. Add up all those moments across our nine sessions and that’s what our members did in October. They’ve earned this headline.” and Im so proud of them all!

New and returning members are welcome at CSK Church, Hampton. Sessions run on Thursdays at 4pm, 5.30pm and 7pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays at 7.30am, 9am and 10.30am.
