From Tripoli to Peterborough: A young entrepreneur returns to ARU Peterborough as a growing business leader.

A Peterborough entrepreneur who moved to the United Kingdom a few years ago, determined to build a new future, has returned to the university where he completed his Master's degree, but this time as the founder of a growing, multi-award-winning business.
Mr. Nouredin Albanghazi, Founder and Director of Combined Support Services Ltd, recently joined the 10th cohort of the Help to Grow: Management Programme at Anglia Ruskin University’s Peterborough campus.
He completed an MSc in International Business Management at ARU Peterborough in 2024. Returning as an established employer gave him an opportunity to examine the company’s next stage of development while learning alongside other SMEs' leaders from across the region.
The 12-week intensive Help to Grow Management Programme combines structured management learning, peer discussion, and mentoring across areas including strategy, leadership, finance, marketing, innovation, employee engagement, and sustainable growth.
Mr. Albanghazi said: “Returning to ARU Peterborough brought back many good memories. The university played an important part in my personal and professional development, so returning as a business owner was both motivating and meaningful.
“Running a company can make it difficult to step away from daily operations. The programme created space to challenge assumptions, exchange ideas, and think carefully about how to grow responsibly.”
His journey began in Tripoli, Libya, where he was born, raised, and completed a Bachelor's degree (BSc (Hons)) in Business Management.
After moving to the UK, he progressed through a range of operational and leadership positions within the Security, Health & Safety, and Facilities Management industries, including Operations Management, Regional Contract Management, Head of Operations, and Operations Director roles.
He later became the Managing Director of United Intelligence 4 Security before establishing Combined Support Services in Peterborough in March 2023.
Alongside Combined Support Services, he is also the Managing Director of County Guards Ltd and the Director of Properties Wize Ltd, giving him experience across security, facilities management, workforce provision, and property investment.
Education and professional development have remained central to his approach.
In October 2025, Mr. Nouredin Albanghazi completed the ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Health and Safety Leadership and Management, an Ofqual-regulated qualification focused on senior leadership, risk governance, organisational culture, and strategic health and safety management. In March 2026, he completed the ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Senior Site Inspection, strengthening his knowledge of inspection, assurance, compliance, and the oversight of operational environments. More recently, in August 2026, he also completed the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice, further developing his capabilities in strategic decision making, organisational leadership, performance management, business planning, and leading sustainable improvement at senior management level.
Mr. Albanghazi said: “Professional memberships and qualifications should represent more than letters after someone’s name; they should reflect accountability, ethical conduct, continued learning, and a willingness to support the development of others.”
Since 2022, he has also worked as a qualified Security and First Aid Trainer. His teaching experience is supported by qualifications in education and training, Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Level 3 in Conflict Management, Level 3 in Physical Intervention, and L3 in First Aid at Work.
For Mr. Albanghazi, returning to ARU Peterborough represents more than completing another business course. It connects education, entrepreneurship and the city where his company has established its roots and demonstrates how continuous learning can remain part of leadership long after graduation.
