Maya Yazbek, 15, has been selected to represent the UK at the international event, which will bring together thousands of young people from across the globe.

To help turn that dream into reality, Maya has set herself a personal challenge to pack in hundreds of miles, dozens of stop-offs and a full week of adventure as she travels across seven counties including Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

Along the way, Maya will be meeting local Scout groups, sharing stories from each stop and documenting the entire journey through her blog https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61589101285967 help her on the road to Poland by donating here https://gofund.me/51042afb9

Maya said: “I wanted to set myself a challenge that really pushed me, especially if I’m asking people to support me. It’s definitely outside my comfort zone, but that’s what makes it exciting. The Jamboree is such an amazing opportunity, and I want to show I’m willing to work hard to get there.”

Planned entirely by Maya herself, the challenge is no small feat. From route-mapping to travel logistics, it’s a week of determination, organisation and stepping far outside her comfort zone.

With the countdown to the challenge underway, this journey across counties is just the first step on Maya’s path to Poland.
