Hartley Mere, in Whittlesey, will see Platform Home Ownership deliver 57 homes through the affordable scheme, built by five-star homebuilder Allison Homes.

The first phase of two- and three-bedroom homes have been released, with further information on four-bedroom homes to be announced in the coming weeks, with prices starting from just £22,500 for a 10 per cent share.

Home seekers are invited to book an appointment at the sales office, just six miles from the city centre, to explore availability and find out more about how Shared Ownership works with the expert Platform sales team.

An affordable scheme, Shared Ownership at Hartley Mere will broaden access to the property ladder for those on moderate incomes or without the means to secure a home of their own outright.

It allows purchasers to secure a home of their own from an initial share, between 10% and 75%, paying a deposit and mortgage against that share, and rent on the remainder, with the opportunity to Staircase to full homeownership.

For example, a Hartley Mere home which has a full market value of £225,000, can be secured at £22,500, with a 5% deposit of £1,125.

Kelly Rigley, Regional Sales Manager at Platform Home Ownership, said: “We’ve just completed a very successful Shared Ownership scheme in Great Haddon, at the other side of Peterborough, so understand fullwell the local appetite for affordable routes onto the property ladder that do not compromise on quality.

“We’ve been receptive to feedback from the Peterborough market and understand exactly what a shared owner is looking for here, from convenience of location and access to the city and green spaces, to a high-specification home that’s part of a growing, thriving community.

“Having worked with Allison Homes on many schemes in the past, we’re pleased to have them as a cherished partner for our affordable homes in Whittlesey.

“I’d recommend anybody interested in a Shared Ownership home, either for themselves or somebody close to them, to book an appointment at our brand-new sales office to explore availability and learn more.”
