Who did Joseph give the red card to in The Apprentice

Joseph, who won the show two years ago, said some title challengers were revealed as the teams took part in a hospitality task on the BBC1 show.

He said: “One of the pleasures of The Apprentice is hearing the words ‘5.20am’, the phone ringing, and then beholding the candidates flying around like crazy to get ready for the unknown day ahead.

“During my time on the show I was caught out once (and only once) where the cameras caught me in bed. From then on, my alarm was set an hour early so that when that TV crew arrived in the bedrooms, I was suited and booted.

“This week saw the teams take a trip to Wembley Stadium for the Women’s FA Cup Final. Lord Sugar once again moved the Teams around, and with lady luck Sarah on Team Vitality’s side they finally managed to walk away with a win.”

The Good

Jade’s selling skills are a force to be reckoned with. For me she was the ‘woman of the match’.

Harrison yet again reveals another talent for us to watch, entertaining not just the corporate box but the viewing audience watching. He did it his way. Andrew stepped up as captain this week, but a little tip: don’t insult women’s football. I’m pretty sure the ladies’ silverware would put the men’s to shame. You are also sitting in front of Karren Brady, remember! James went straight into my good list when he offered to take the lady’s coat in the corporate box. What a gentleman. As for Sarah, she absolutely bossed this week’s task; she had strength, control and organised the boys’ team into their first win of the season.

The Bad

This task was all about events management, so the perfect PM for this task was Siobhan. Right? Wrong. Totally wrong! When you do events planning for a living and give the alcohol purchase to someone who doesn’t drink? Red Card and goodbye. Anisa and Bushra were in charge of finances for the corporate team, but they came up short – not really knowing what the costs were going to be. As for Sarah Jayne and Joanna meanwhile, I wasn’t really sure what they brought to the task other than disruption, attitude and eating the products. Yellow Card – let’s hope they learn from this shambles and come back fighting. And then there’s Elizabeth. Remember – you don’t always have to shout to be heard. She is a very strong woman, but I don’t think she shone in this task.

Needs improvement

Michaela seemed quiet this week, although she did manage to rescue the corporate sale from disaster. In this process you need to push through and shine each and every week. Sajan was on top of sales this week; he just needs to remember that even though it can start off slow, slashing the prices within 10 minutes of starting isn’t the way forward. Persistence is key. I don’t know whether it’s the tension of being in a corporate environment or if it’s just that this isn’t his strength, but every time Ross gets up to pitch numbers they are all over the place. He needs a little faith in himself. As for Charles, I want to see more. Those quirky attire and glasses are only going to get him so far.
