Popular antiques show to visit Peterborough Cathedral

Residents will be able to take their antiques to Peterborough Cathedral when a popular daytime TV show films at the iconic building.

ITV show Dickinson’s Real Deal will visit the cathedral on July 16 between 9am and 5pm. The event is free of charge and invites local members of the community to bring along valuables for a free valuation.

Presenter David Dickinson said: ““It’s great to bring the show to Peterborough!

People of Peterborough come along and get the Real Deal.

“I’m very much looking forward to visiting Peterborough, an area of the country I love bringing the show to. I remember visiting the area several years ago; the items brought in were fantastic- great quality - with fabulous history and stories attached.”

Last time the show filmed in the area, Christine walked away with £480 for her George V Gold Sovereign, Margaret’s gamble paid off with £340 at auction and Gaynor left the dealers table with £1120 for her Gold. As usual David Dickinson will be keeping an eye on the deals and giving advice about whether to take the dealers’ cash or gamble at auction.
