They really are a scream! It's The Addams Family Musical

The hit Broadway musical, based on Charles Addams’ iconic characters, tells the story of Wednesday Addams, whose unexpected romance with an ordinary young man leads to an unforgettable dinner party where two very different families collide.

Filled with humour, heart and memorable songs, the show celebrates love, family and the joy of being unapologetically yourself.

Following a string of acclaimed productions, Kindred returns to the recently reopened Key Theatre with another ambitious musical, bringing together a talented cast and creative team to breathe new life into this beloved Broadway hit. Renowned for producing high-quality musical theatre, Kindred has built a reputation for entertaining audiences with productions that combine exceptional performances, striking production values and a genuine passion for storytelling.

Paul Collings, Director of the production, said: “The Addams Family is much more than a comedy. Beneath the gothic exterior is a story about families learning to accept change, celebrating individuality and discovering that love can be found in the most unexpected places.

"It’s funny, heartfelt and full of wonderful music, and we can’t wait to share it with audiences this summer. We’ve assembled a fantastic cast and are creating a show full of energy, laughter and theatrical magic. Whether you’re a lifelong Addams Family fan or seeing the musical for the first time, there’s something for everyone.”

Paul also added: “We are so delighted to be back performing at the newly reopened Key Theatre. Having the main auditorium out of action for so long was difficult, but the building is now fully open again and we can’t wait to welcome audiences back to the Key. And we know it’s Summer and it’s warm, but the fully air-conditioned bar

and auditorium (along with our incredible cast) could actually make it the coolest place to be in Peterborough this Summer!’

Performances run from Wednesday, August 12 to Saturday, August 15, with evening performances at 7.30pm and a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.
