See comedy star Milton Jones - in a village community centre!
Milton Jones, the grand wizard of whacky one liners, is coming to a Peterborough venue next month.
A frequent visitor to The Cresset and The Key Theatre in the city, the stand-up star will be providing the laughter at Manor Farm Community Centre, in Eye Village on July 19.
Known for his hilarious and silly one-liners, wild hair, and colorful shirts, Milton rose to fame through regular appearances on Mock The Week and Live at The Apollo. While he usually fills big theatres this is a rare opportunity for locals to see him up close and personal.
Organised by Shaft Of Wit Comedy, led by former school teacher turned event promoter Kai Barron, this show exemplifies their reputation for hosting famous faces in unconventional venues. Kai shares his excitement: “I’ve had the Legendary Arthur Smith perform for sixty people in a village pub, but having Milton Jones in a village hall is one of the best yet! I love putting big comedy in little places—it’s a more exciting experience for the audience.”
But that’s not all! The surprises continue with supporting acts that promise to keep the audience in stitches:
Danny Posthill was a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent, whose impressions and comedic talent are sure to delight.
And Angelos Epithemiou – the legendary scorekeeper from cult comedy game show Shooting Stars and star of his own chat show on Channel 4, The Angelos Epithemiou Show – will add his unique flair.
