Peterborough waiting to hear how much of £1.5 billion arts funding will come to city
The council is in the process of taking over the running of arts venues in the city, including the Key Theatre, from Vivacity.
This week the Government announced a package to help struggling theatres and venues across the country who have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

Hide AdThe New Theatre and The Cresset have already spoken out about the need for support, as there has been no date announced for when shows can resume.

Today, a Peterborough City Council spokesperson, said: “Vivacity issued a 90 day notice period to terminate its contract two weeks ago. The council is currently in the process of conducting a full review of services to consider how they might be delivered in the future –either by the council alone, or in partnership with others.
