Peterborough band releases taster EP as gigs are wiped out

The Covid-19 pandemic has killed the live music scene. For Peterborough-based band Course Correct it could not have come at a worse time. With all-new material, months of rehearsal under their belts and a growing following, the three-piece had a full diary of late spring and summer gigs lined up.

Postponements across the board left the band pondering what to do with their finely-honed and rehearsed catalogue.

“We didn’t want to waste all that effort,” said drummer Joe Malkin, of Sawtry, “but it looks as though it may be quite a while yet before we can play live again.”

So Course Correct has released a FREE taster EP on Sounds.

“It’s our gift as an antidote to lockdown,” said lead guitar and vocalist Neil Glover , of Newborough.

There is, of course, an ulterior motive.

“We’re hoping people will listen, enjoy and want to come and see us when we can gig again,” said bassist and backing vocals Dino Varty, of Werrington.

Course Correct influences include Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, At The Drive In to name a few.
