Musicals concert will be magical

There are only a few weeks left before what promises to be one of Peterborough's most exciting musical event of the year.

Sunday, September 4, will see the city’s iconic Broadway Theatre hosting Magic of the Musicals, a concert featuring the internationally-renowned Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, along with three award-winning Peterborough choirs.

The evening will feature a wide and varied selection of songs from musicals including Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, along with favourites from Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rogers and Hammerstein and others.

Performing with the RPO will be Peterborough Male Voice Choir, Peterborough Voices ladies choir and Peterborough Youth Choir, under the leadership of Will Prideaux.

Will said: “Magic of the Musicals will be an inspiring celebration of musical theatre across the world, a rare opportunity to hear one of the world’s greatest orchestras performing with three of the country’s best choirs. And they’re from Peterborough. There are only a few tickets left though so you need to be quick!”
