A World of Imagination

Queensgate Shopping Centre is ready to moon-rock your world this February half term, with a free intergalactic event just perfect for your curious little astronaut wannabes!
The space-themed event, called ‘A World Of Imagination’, will give kids the chance to see the solar system in a giant dome, experience space using virtual reality masks, handle meteorites and even have a taste of space food too!

Hide AdLittle ones will get to dress up in astronaut costumes to take part in 30-minute workshops inside the space dome which will be in North Square, outside John Lewis & Partners and Superdry.
There’s no need to book, you can just turn up on the day – and every child will receive a space certificate before they leave!
Rebecca Keefe, marketing manager at Queensgate Shopping Centre said: “If you’re wondering how we manage to put on events like these, it’s quite simple really … we just planet!
“These free events are a great way to bring families together and we hope you all enjoy this one, it’s going to be a blast!”

Pancake Races
Peterborough Cathedral, Feb 25
There is still time to enter the annual event - teams of four doing two circuits around the Cathedral Precincts, with relay handover points along the way. There will also be a ‘flip zone’ where runners will need to stop and complete five full flips of their pancake – closely watched by a pancake adjudicator – before continuing onto the next handover point. Pancakes will be provided, but teams will need to bring along a frying pan.
