Triumph for Tribe on Six Island Pool

All the leading weights over the past few weeks had been coming from the bottom end of the lake, with the car park end rarely producing any amount of fish yet in this match it was the complete opposite.

Terry Tribe drew peg two and won with a net of carp and barbel with maggot fished over to the island for 75lb 1oz.

Second was Andrew Porter on peg four and then came John Parnell on peg 24 with 69lb 4oz.

DECOY OPENS

The Beastie Lake hit top form on Saturday for those in the Decoy Open.

Topping the field with an impressive 145lb 13oz net of carp taken shallow with pellet was Whittlesey rod Simon Godfrey. Tom Edwards took second with 134lb 11oz, followed by Jimmy Brooks with 125lb 13oz.

It was a good weekend for Brooks as he collected the winner’s purse on Sunday in the open match which was fished on the Oak Pool. He fished pellet on the long pole for 161lb.

Simon Dow came second on 110lb 2oz followed by Simon Godfrey with 85lb 15oz.
