Trials success for Peterborough RUFC girls and a huge game for the ladies coming up


Abi Tuson, Gabby Clarke, Emily Fosbeary, Mima Mitchell, Connie Harvey and Lizzie Homer are all a step closer to representative honours.
Leah Dormon was unavailable for the trials and still has a chance to make the grade.

Hide AdBorough Under 16 girls’ player Lana Jawad-Ismael celebrated her first-ever hat-trick, but finished on the losing side against Lutterworth at Fengate. If finished 57-15 after the visitors arrived short-handed so had to borrow a number of the home club’s more-seasoned players.
It wasn’t the best day for the junior boys’ sides either. Harvey Sutliff Ahern claimed an awesome six tries for the under 13s with William Ratcliffe contributing a hat-trick in a 45-45 draw away at Ely.
And the under 15s were taken apart by a well-structured and intense Shelford team who beat them 55-5, with Jude Lazenby scoring the only Borough try after a well-worked team effort.
LADIES
Two sides with perfect playing records clash in the Women's NC 1 East League on Sunday when Peterborough RUFC travel to take on Bedford Blues.

Borough appear to have the edge as they have accumulated 137 points to Bedford's 66 and conceded just 29 points to Bedford’s 38.
