Senior shock for Stilton United, Whittlesey are out without losing, gr-eight display from Star under 14s

There was a shock Peterborough Senior Cup group stage defeat for Stilton United at the hands of Oundle Town on Saturday (May 8).

Stilton, who led the Premier Division when it was abandoned, lost 2-1 to Division One Oundle whose goals came from Peter Beverly and Kian Heathfield.

Stilton are still favourites to qualify, but they can’t afford to slip up at home to Premier Division rivals Crowland on Saturday (May 15).

In the Minor Cup Netherton A moved to the top of their group with a smooth 7-0 success over Dreams Reserves. Chris Beeby bagged a hat-trick and Harry Fitzjohn scored twice.

Unbeaten Whittlesey Athletic are out of the United Division One KO Cup despite holding group leaders Bugbrooke St Michael to a 0-0 draw. Only the top two reach the KO stages and Whittlesey finished third.

In the Junior Alliance Under 14 League Cup unbeaten Peterborough Northern Star White beat Parkside 8-2 in a group tie. Star scorers were Charlie Morgan (2), Jake Currall (2), Alfie Bedford (2), Mateus Leonardi and Martynas Janusas.
