PICTURE SPECIAL FROM 47 YEARS AS A PHOTOGRAPHER: World champion boxer Sugar Ray Leonard has one of our David’s photographs hanging on his wall!

David Lowndes has been taking top-class sport pictures for the Peterborough Telegraph for 47 years.

David’s covered every sporting team in the area and he’s been coping with self isolation by digging through his records to find his favourite (non-Peterborough United) photos.

He’s met world champions and big names, but he’s just as happy taking pictures of local people. Here David takes us through his favourite pics.

David’s favourite Posh pictures will be published in the PT next Thursday (April 23).

I took this picture of Joe Bugner before he left for the States to fight Muhammad Ali for the second time. The picture was taken at Bugner's trainer Andy Smith's gym in St Ives. | JPRESS
