Reggie Baker (14) was beaten by experienced fighter Adam Ali from the Longsight Club in the 46kg final and despite an excellent display was pipped on points with a slow start proving costly.

After that slow first round, Baker delivered a cracking second round which was closely contested and in the final round the city lad was on fire and absolutely dominated the round with long power shots.

Unfortunately, this was still not enough against a very experienced opponent.

At 67kg Sonny McElligott (19) beat Liam Collier from the Lion Gym after three brilliant toe-toe-toe rounds in his semi-final before finding favourite Jack Lambert from the Laisterdyke ABC just too strong in his final.

Lambert has fought over 70 times, over three times as many as McElligott who performed valiantly against a top-class opponent.

Kian Aragosa (13) was another Police fighter in action. He missed out narrowly on ppints to Ethan Gray from the HodBox team in a 40kg quarter-final

And Kyryl Malyk (13) was also beaten after a close quarter-final against Tiger Sexton from HodBox at 36kg.
