Peterborough Panthers star has returned to Denmark, but he will be on the first flight back if speedway starts in the UK
No racing has been possible at the East of England Arena so far this year and now the season has moved into July decision time is approaching on whether or not any league competition is possible.
Ostergaard said: “I’m lucky as I have a full-time job here in Denmark which is paying the bills, but I will jump at the chance of travelling to England once a decision is made.
“In the meantime all I can do is wait for a decision.”

Hide AdOstergaard has already lost his place in the second tier following Glasgow’s early decision to pull out of racing this summer.
“With only one team to race for it will be tough financially for me,” Ostergaard added. “But my sponsors have been great with me, and they all understand my situation.
“I sold them exposure for more meetings this season and thankfully most of my sponsors are long time backers who know how the sport works.
“I’m not sure what sort of season we will get if it starts, but I’m as committed as ever to give my all for Panthers.

“The promotion must be frustrated because they have put a lot of hard work into getting the side together over the winter.”
Ostergaard was part of the famous 2006 Panthers title-winning side along with 2020 teammates Niels-Kristian Iversen and Hans Andersen.
