First out of the water at Oundle Pool with a clear lead was Daniel Vincent-Brady in 5:03 with Oscar Rajski emerging 23 seconds later. Gaps appeared as Max Daniels, Siddons, Paul Lunn and Simon Guerin were the only others within 1 minute of the leader. Moys was next out with a deficit of 69 seconds. However, after some furious cycling Vincent-Brady was soon reeled in, with Lunn taking the lead before the cyclists entered Glapthorn.

Lunn led Moys by 15 seconds after the bike section, with Guerin another 16 seconds back. Phil Groves moved up from 20th in the swim to 7th off the bike.

Lunn then had issues on the run enabling Moys to scoot clear to take the win by 58 seconds from Siddons who had the fastest run of the night.

Lunn held on to 4th place, managing to hold off the advancing pair of Graeme Kane and Jake Daniels, who finished in 5th and 6th having raced neck-and-neck throughout.

Ellie Piccaver and Sophie Robotham led the ladies out of the water, with Ellie pulling ahead on the bike before recording the 4th fastest run of the night to finish in 7th place overall.

Eight athletes recorded times under 53 minutes, and 17 beat the hour barrier, while 16 recorded personal best times on the night.

The event continues every Wednesday night at Oundle pool until 15th July. Entries are via pactrac.clubpal.app and non-members can take part in two events before joining.
