Lottie at the double as city BMX Club start the Summer Series strongly
Lottie Macfarlane was a double winner as Peterborough BMX Club enjoyed a successful start to the East Summer Series
The city club sent 38 riders to Braintree for round one and returned with five gold medals and second place in the team standings behind the host club.

Macfarlane won the 13-16 female and female cruiser classes and other successes came from Bradley Goulding (male 17-29), Leah Pearson (female 30+ cruiser) and Dylan Dixon (male cruiser 40-44).
‘Jumping’ Jess Marriott was back in action after an injury-plagued end to 2025 and she was just pipped into second place in the female superclass category.
Eight city riders finished third, but James Thompson fractured his arm during his third moto race of the day.
The Summer Series continues in Ipswich on April 5. Peterborough BMX hosts one of the eight events at their Benyon Grove, Orton Malborne base on June 7.
Anyone interested in BMX racing can contact the city club on Facebook to book a free induction session.
