Local lad Cook is raring to go at Oulton Park on the opening weekend of the Superbike season
Local Superbike racer Harry Cook has wrapped up his pre-season testing schedule with valuable seat time despite facing several technical and physical challenges as he prepares for the opening round at Oulton Park this weekend.
The DWM Racing rider's testing program began with immediate setbacks at Donington Park when his gearbox failed on the very first lap of the opening session. Thanks to quick work from Race Engine Build, the team was able to address the issue, but further complications followed on day two when Cook crashed at Craner Curves after just five laps of dry running.

"It was cold and the suspension still needed some tweaking," Cook explained of the Donington incident that left him nursing injuries heading into the crucial Oulton Park test.
Still feeling the effects of his Donington crash, Cook faced the additional challenge of adapting to significant technical changes at Oulton, including a switch from Bitubo to Ohlins front suspension and new electronics settings. Despite these hurdles, he completed 17 valuable laps in dry conditions, gathering essential data for the team.

"Loving the new Arrow Exhaust as well," Cook noted, finding positives despite the difficulties.
With the season opener at Oulton Park just days away, Cook, who is from Guyhirn, and the DWM Racing team will be working hard to build on their testing progress and start their campaign on a strong footing.
