Harris, who has always worked to engage with the fans of tomorrow, is calling on parents to nominate children aged between four and 15 to be considered for the prize.

He plans to select three winners – one Panthers supporter, one from his Championship club Birmingham, and one from any other side in the Midlands. Each of those will receive a visit at home from Harris complete with 2020 bike and kit for photo opportunities along with other giveaway items of merchandise.

Harris said: “Since March when lockdown began, everyone has faced challenges and it has affected everyone in different ways, none more so than our younger generation.

“There has been lockdown, home-schooling, you name it, 2020 has thrown it at us all - but this is your chance to try and get your child a special end-of-season treat from me.

“I want to hear your stories of how special your child has been throughout lockdown. What have they done that has been special that deserves rewarding? What challenges have they faced or overcome?

“My children have overcome the challenges of home-schooling, social anxiety and other effects of COVID-19, so I want to try and reward deserving kids and put some smiles on some faces.”

Parents should e-mail [email protected], explaining why their child deserves a chance to win the prize. Closing date is Sunday (October 18).

Harris, who did manage a little racing this season as he competed in the World Longtrack Championship and British Final, has one more racing engagement in 2020.

He’s been named in the line-up for the Peter Craven Memorial at Belle Vue next Thursday (October 22) which takes place behind closed doors but is available as a live stream via www.sportcentral.tv.
