Cambridgeshire face an uphill struggle to get anything from their Unicorns Championship match against Cumberland in Netherfield.

Captain Lewis Bruce returned figures of 4-146 for Cambs in Cumberland.

Cambs will start the final day (July 19) of the Eastern Division contest just nine runs ahead in their second innings and with three wickets down.

Cambs toiled in the field as the home side reached 373 yesterday (July 18), a first innings lead of 113.

Captain Lewis Bruce of Peterborough Town bowled 39 overs to return figures of 4-146. Wisbech seamer Sam Rippington collected two wickets as did left-arm spinner John Arksey.

James Williams scored 68 for Cambs in Cumberland.

Cambs were 122-3 in their second innings at the close with professional Ben Smith unbeaten on 48.

Peterborough Town star Asim Butt was dismissed for 20.
