MATCH REPORT: A hat-trick for speedy runner Bean in big Borough win
However things could have been different if it wasn’t for a 26-point scoring spree by the city side in the last 12 minutes.
Borough started brightly against an Olney side desperate for a win and went ahead when Michael Bean touched down after five minutes.

Hide AdFrom the re-start Borough were caught napping, and following a period of pressure on the visitor’s line, Olney were successful with a penalty to reduce the deficit to 5-3
Young full back Tanaka Kanhukamwe, making only his second appearance for the team, scored to make the score 10-3 and then Number eight Lewis Hall increased the lead to 13-3 and that was how the first-half finished.
In the second-half, Borough went down to 14 men with scrum half Harry Roe sin binned and came under the cosh but on a rare forage into the Olney half they were awarded a penalty which Lewis Hall kicked.
Olney then started to dominate for a spell and were rewarded with a converted try to leave the game at 16-10 to Borough.

Hide AdThe visitors however composed themselves and with 20 minutes left Bean scored his second of the game with Hall adding the conversion.
Olney were not giving up easily and it was no surprise when they narrowed the score to 23-15.
At this point Borough found an exciting extra gear and ran riot with further tries from Stefan Gallucci, Kanhukamwe, and Bean, who completed an impressive hat-trick.
The best try of the game however was completed by Chris Sansby following a scintillating 40 metre break by impressive prop Stuart Day. All four tries were converted by Tom Williams to complete a second free-scoring win in a row.

Hide AdCoach Lee Adamson was understandably delighted by the result, but he is adamant there is room for improvement and more to come in the coming weeks.
The win moved Borough up two places to fifth in the table, one place ahead of Oundle who beat Vipers 38-30 yesterday, and two places above Stamford who went down 10-5 at Oakham.
