The final was very close but Lorena, the Junior Sportswoman of the Year winner in the 2015 Peterborough Telegraph Sports Awards, showed great determnination to beat an opponent who had won several world championships and British titles.

Lorena’s win came close on the heels of finishing runner-up at the Watford Open national championships and the WMO British Championships.

Last year Lorena, who is sponsored by Mad Dogs Clothing, won a British Championship gold and picked up two silver medals at the World Games.
