Six of the best flying out to fight in Montego Bay

Six Peterborough kick-boxers will be flying out to Jamaica on Sunday to compete in the big ISKA World Championships in Montego Bay.

And two of them - Kyle Findley and Rob Taylor - will be defending titles they won atthe 2017 championships in Greece.

Findley, son of Peterborough’s former world karate champion Clifton, is from the Peterborough Freestyle Club and will be attempting to win his seventh world crown.

Martial Arts Hall of Fame member Taylor, who runs the TASK (Taylor’s Academy of Sport Karate) club in Peterborough and is the reigning Petrerborough Telegraph Sportsman of the Year, is a five-times world champion.

The other four Peterborough fighters in the England team are all from the TASK club.

They are British champion Grant Brown (25), Jazmyn Popat-Evans (15), Braydon Popat- Evans (13), who has won world championship gold before, a nd Taylor Popat-Evan (12), who won a silver medal three years ago at another world championships.
