Lindsay produces a storming victory
In the National Clarion 25-mile Championships, Fenland Clarion rider Lindsay Clarke was first lady with a modest 1.15.15 demonstrating how tough conditions were.
Steve Hope recorded 1.24.53 for the slowest time he could remember for the standard distance.

Hide AdElswehere for Fenland Clarion, Ian Waddilove made his return to competitive racing in the Sleaford 10-mile event and clocked 26.12 to just hold off team-mate Richard Moys in 26.18 with Sean Beard close behind in 26.29.
The Milton Keynes circuit series has been very successful for young Clation riders. In the fourth and final round, Evander Wishart won his second event from three starts in the Under 8s, while Harry Tozer followed up last week’s win to take second this time out. The win also earned Wishart the series prize.
There will be an evening of youth cycle races for girls only on Friday April 8 at the Embankment athletics track. There are races to suit all abilities with newcomers very welcome. The evening costs £4 per rider and they will get three races each. Entry is on the night from 6pm with racing from 6.30-8pm. For details contact Malc at [email protected]
