A PT statement read: “In light of the current COVID-19 escalation, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the awards ceremony at the Key Theatre. While the awards are a great opportunity to shine a light on the sporting achievements, teams and individuals from the region, the health and safety of our event guests comes first and we believe this is the right thing to do to help minimise the potential spread of the virus.

“The Awards will continue to be publicised in the Peterborough Telegraph with the winners and runners-up announced shortly. Our winners will receive their trophies at a date to be confirmed by the Peterborough Telegraph. Any ticket purchases will be refunded by Eventbrite.
