Unfinished business for former Posh star at Spalding United
Gaby was handed the first management job of his career by the Tulips last October, but took charge of just one South East Division match - a 3-3 draw at Belper - before the competition was halted by the coronavirus.
It’s unlikely the competition wil re-start much to Zakuani and the club’s frustration, but he’s already started planning for next season.

Hide AdSpalding could start that campaign as one of the promotion favourites after they splashed out on several players, including well-travelled Football League forward Nile Ranger, after Zakuani’s arrival
Zakuani said: “I’m delighted to commit my immediate future to the club. It’s a project that I truly believe in.
“The prospect of a full pre-season with this talented squad and a few additions is something I’m very excited about.”
Spalding are bankrolled by successful city businessman Andrew Killingsworth who used to sponsor Zakuani at Posh.

Hide AdClub chief executive Leigh Porter said: “With this season looking like it’s going to fade out into null and void we’ve started to plan for what a new season will look like,
“Gaby has been committed to the vision of the club from day one and we were extremely keen to keep him.
“He has unfinished business at the club. He’s not been able to really show what he can do, but now’s his chance and we thank him for his commitment and loyalty.”
