Table-topping Netherton United pile on the pressure on title rivals
Netherton clambered to the top of the table for the first time this season with a workmanlike 2-0 win over lowly Ketton last weekend.
The top six are separated by just six points though and reigning champions Moulton Harrox are one of them, just two points behind Netherton, but having played two more games.

“For me all the pressure is on Moulton though as realistically they have to beat us. If we beat them they are out of the title race.
“But it will be hard. Moulton are always our toughest opponents.”
Mark Baines and Antonio Del Russo scored in the first five minutes for Netherton against Ketton, but the expected landslide victory never arrived.

Netherton were able to jump to the top as their main rivals for the title were without fixtures.
Second-placed Peterborough North End Sports will hope to take advantage of any Netherton slip-up by beating lowly Oakham United at the Bee Arena tomorrow, while sixth-placed Thorney host third-placed Stamford Lions.
