Stanground Sports, whose adult team will in Division Three of the Peterborough League next season have been successful in an application for funding from the Football Foundation to improve the facilities and football pitches at Stanground Sports Centre.

The football club and academy have worked together over many years in providing facilities for the local community and this is now to be improved with the introduction of a new showcase football pitch at the front of the school.

Stanground Sports were proud to collect the ‘Grassroots Club of the Year 2019’ award at a ceremony presented by the County FA recently.

Work will start in the next few weeks and it is hoped the new pitch will be playable in October.
