The Cobblers will be keen to complete a first League double over Posh since the 1986-87 Fourth Division season when it finished 2-1 in Northampton and 1-0 at London Road.
Posh went down 1-0 at Sixfields earlier this season to a fluke goal so revenge will be on their minds.
Posh don’t have a great deal of options, especially with speedy striker Ricky-Jade Jones expected to join midfielder Jeando Fuchs on the long-term injury list, but there is one significant change that can be made.
We’re sticking with the 4-2-3-1 formation….

6. HECTOR KYPRIANOU
The injury to Jeando Fuchs is ill-timed with Kyprianou so close to a suspension. On the Posh playing surface, one that clearly doesn't suit this classy midfielder, I'd be prepared to leave him out for someone more combative. As it is there is no alternative to Kyprianou. Photo: Joe Dent

8. KWAME POKU
Here's the decision to be made. Does Poku stay as the number 10 from where he won the game against Exeter on Saturday? Or does Ferguson keep faith with Joel Randall who looked horribly out of sorts in that game? Poku was too quick and skilful for Cobblers left-back Patrick Brough in August so there will be a temptation to keep Poku on the wing. but we've gone the other way and moved him centrally where his touch, speed off the mark and ability go either way should make him a serious threat. He shoots better than Randall as well. Photo: Joe Dent
