It’s a commendable policy, but the Peterborough Telegraph believes there is an obvious problem which needs addressing before Cambridge United rock up at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
Here’s the team the PT would pick for the big game in the manager’s preffered 4-2-1-3 formation.
The form of wide players Kwame Poku and Ephron Mason-Clark make it impossible to suggest any other system.
9. RONNIE EDWARDS
I must admit I'm torn between Edwards and Josh Knight for the right centre-back position. Knight was very unlucky to be left out at Oxford last weekend, although there was a suggestion he was slightly injured. If Posh intend to pass out from the back they may as well use the two players most comfortable on the ball and hope it doesn't backfire defensively. Photo: Joe Dent
10. KELL WATTS
I can only assume the on-loan central defender is not fully fit, or he's showing little form in training, but playing right-footers on the left of the defence has been an issue all season and it remains one now. Watts is left-footed and highly rated by those who watched him regularly at Wigan last season. They say he's excellent on the ball, but also a terrific defender. Photo: Joe Dent
