With Ferguson now sitting on 501 games managed for Posh, bringing up the milestone 500 against Huddersfield last Tuesday (November 2), he has seen hundreds of players come and go from the club.
Some better than others and some with that bit of magic that has carried all the way to England’s top tier. There are nine in total, excluding loan signings, and they are listed below. They are listed from least Premier League appearances to the most and there are four centurions. Can you guess who the player with the most is?
9. Dwight Gayle
Premier League apps: 140, 26 goals One of Ferguson's great signings. He picked up Gayle from League 2 Dagenham and Redbridge in November 2012 and he slotted straight into the Championship side. The following summer he made the jump to the Premier League for £4.5m with Crystal Palace. He has never really got the game time at the highest level he would have liked but will forever be remembered for his title race-turning double off the bench against Liverpool in 2014. He is still there with Newcastle currently but with their new windfall, however, he might not be for long. Photo: Midlands
