Goalscorer Jonson Clarke-Harris played well as did strike partner Siriki Dembele, while defensively Posh looked well-organised and strong.
But did any of them win the PT man-of-the-match accolade?
Ratings key: 10-Perfect, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Very poor.
5.
RYAN BROOM: Enjoyed a competitive wing-back battle with ex-Posh player George Cooper. Some impressive bursts forward. Taken off when Plymouth dangerman Danny Mayor started running at him with some success. 6.5
6.
DAN BUTLER: Wing-back suits him better than left-back as he is capable of barrelling up and down the flank. Not as his sharpest tonight, but clipped the outside of the post with one decent effort at goal. 6
7.
REECE BROWN: Moved the ball on more quickly in this match, apart from one or two dalliances which irritated his manager. Generally accurate with his passing. Taken off when Posh decided to shore the game up late on. 7
8.
JACK TAYLOR: Once into his stride the midfielder delivered an outstanding display of aggression and passing. Came on particularly strong in the second half when others were flagging. A couple of masterful chipped passes and sensible longer balls. 9
