Interestingly, however, if the standings were decided on away form alone, Darren Ferguson’s men would be in a substantially poorer position.

Their record of eight wins, eight losses, and four draws in 20 matches is the eighth-worst in the division this term.

By contrast, their home form as been nothing short of sublime.

Fourteen wins and 45 points from 19 matches is the best record in the league, and by quite some distance too.
