The upshot was three second-half goals to seal a 3-0 League One win over AFC Wimbledon at the Weston Homes Stadium thanks to some more outstanding individual displays.
The PT ratings, for player and manager, are pleasant reading again for all involved at London Road.
RATINGS: 10-Perfect, 9- Outstanding, 8- Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Awful
9.
SAMMIE SZMODICS: His two well-taken goals turned a tricky game into an easy one. Full of running for 90 minutes and playing as well now as he did 12 months ago, when he was dynamic 9. Photo: www.jmpuk.com
10.
SIRIKI DEMBELE: He was a handful all afternoon and he's currently playing very unselfishly. He put the first goal on a plate for Szmodics and he delivered numerous other passes and crosses that could have led to more goals 8.5. Photo: Peterborough Press and PR
11.
JONSON CLARKE-HARRIS: Battled gamely all afternoon without reaching the heights of recent displays. In the right place to stretch his scoring run to five games in a row 7.
12.
ETHAN HAMILTON (for Brown, 74 mins): A useful physical player to send on to protect a lead 6. Photo: www.jmpuk.com
