The upshot was three second-half goals to seal a 3-0 League One win over AFC Wimbledon at the Weston Homes Stadium thanks to some more outstanding individual displays.
The PT ratings, for player and manager, are pleasant reading again for all involved at London Road.
RATINGS: 10-Perfect, 9- Outstanding, 8- Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Awful
5.
JOE WARD: Not at his best when playing wing-back, but a big threat when given fewer defensive duties to carry out. Should have scored late on, but his link-up play with Thompson and Szmodics was very good at times during the second-half 7.5.
6.
DAN BUTLER: Lots of space in the first-half, but ball didn't get to him quickly enough. Defended soundly despite looking a bit leggy at times 7. Photo: www.jmpuk.com
7.
REECE BROWN: He's started to pass the ball at a decent tempo again and looks all the better for it. He was very prominent throughout this game and his defence-splitting pass helped create the crucial opening goal. Hobbled off towards the end 8. Photo: www.jmpuk.com
8.
JACK TAYLOR: Such a big figure in this Posh midfield. Passes well and tackles strongly. Very good again today 8. Photo: www.jmpuk.com
