Martin told the MK Citizen: “The goal was a foul,” he said. “He’s (Clarke-Harris) admitted it to our players and that’s why he didn’t celebrate it because he thought it was an obvious one.

“They had one shot and they scored. It’s the first time they got properly near our goal though, and we left a good player in good form one-on-one with Richard Keogh, which we spoke about trying to stop that, but it’s a foul. Our players are very frustrated by that.

“It would have been easy to lose our cool, and have a victim mentality after that, but we stayed really focussed and put all our energy into what we were doing on the pitch.”
