Posh have the best home record in League One with 32 points from 13 matches, but they’ve only picked up 17 points from 13 games on the road, the 13th best record in the division, below Rochdale and Shrewsbury.

More shockingly Posh have scored just 11 goals on their travels, the lowest in League One alongside the Shrews. At home the 29 Posh goals is four more than any other team has managed.

They are not great statistics to take into two tricky away games at Blackpool on Saturday (February 13, 3pm) and Gillingham next Tuesday (February 16, 6pm).

“I’ve been having a hard look at our away forom since we didn’t perform and lost at Shrewsbury a couple of weeks back,” Ferguson revealed.

“I’ve been doing plenty of analysis as five away wins is not good enough plus we are hardly creating a chance in some games.

“We’ve been brillaint at home for a couple of seasons now, but we really must improve our away form if we are to get where we want to be.

“It’s another tough game for us at Blackpool against a side who deservedly beat us at our place earlier in the season.

“They tend to play 4-4-2 which will be a challenge for us, but we are in a good place right now.

“I watched Blackpool’s game against Ipswich last weekend and they have threats.”

Posh sent a scout up to Blackpool on Tuesday, but the Seasiders game against Burton was postponed just before kick off because of a frozen pitch.

Star forward Siriki Dembele should be available on Saturday after missing the win over Ipswich with a knee injury, but Ferguson could keep faith with Mo Eisa after his fine performance against the Tractor Boys. Eisa hasn’t scored a League One goal this season though.
